A Look at Rush Limbaugh, and His Callers
It seems only appropriate that if Rush Limbaugh is going to accept the Republican Party's crown that the Democratic Party has handed him, more than just his devoted listeners should be paying attention to what he says every day.
And equally important as what he says are what his callers think, all 14 to 30 million of them.
Take Sharon, whose March 6 transcript with Limbaugh is titled on the talk-show host's website, "Our President Wants a Depression." Sharon, from northern Virginia, claims that Barack Obama is hoping for economic conditions circa 1929 because "last time we had a Great Depression, it resulted in a generation of Democrat power, and this time it looks like he's doing exact same thing that happened last time."
Limbaugh, always the devil's advocate, points out that there's a big difference between Obama and FDR -- specifically, "Obama is doing much more to create and cause economic collapse than FDR did."
The caller agrees. "I think it's definitely intentional," Sharon says. "Some of the things that are being done to drive market instability and uncertainty couldn't be anything but intentional."
The rest of the transcripts aren't too different, and some of them even come with photos of Obama standing next to his former "God Damn America" reverend, Jeremiah Wright. Listen to Mike, from Colorado, explain to Limbaugh why he feels like a born-again after listening to the conservative talk show:
Limbaugh, on March 5, is saying that the purpose of unions is not to work for employees' benefits, but instead, "the real purpose of a union is to elect Democrat candidates to every office possible" and to "collect dues that will then be donated to various Democrats, regardless -- regardless -- what they stand for. Just flood the elected offices of the country with Democrats. That's the purpose of unions today. Pure and simple."
Mike responds, "I just felt that, you know, after listening to you and watching what was happening with the economy, I thought, 'You know, he does have points,' and so we ... You know, I've listened to you more and even my wife's, you know, had change of heart as far as her viewpoints of the party that she thought was, you know, trying to help out, and even she's just dumbfounded with everything that's happened."
Limbaugh is signed to an eight-year radio contract that shovels over $400 million to him. (Maybe that's why he's not too happy about Obama's tax-the-rich plan.) His opinions are amplified across the country every weekday in three-hour bursts, to an audience that is 80 percent conservative.
But his website has all the goodies in archives, including headlines like, "Obama Disses Gordon Brown; Cozies Up to America's Enemies" and "Obama Wants America to Fail," conveniently placed above "The Definitions of Socialism."
Pretty powerful stuff. Jonathan Krohn may have big shoes to fill someday.

No amount of distraction will prevent us from the complete failure of the incompetent, dishonest, corrupt Obama administration. Obama is crashing the stock market because it has no confidence in Obama's policies of massive spending bills with porks and raising the income taxes of the rich, bussinesses and corporations. which always trickle down to the middle class. The following is a no brainer. If you are running a business and you get a high tax increase you wouldn't create more jobs and hire more people because the profits will just go to increaesd taxes.

Way to go Rush Limbaugh. You want Americans to prosper. You want Americans to work hard and enjoy the fruits of their labor. You are against those that don't lift a finger to help the economy, but want to leach off those that do work. This is recessionary times and many hard working Americans are out of work. Rush is behind those that do want to work. I want to work and am frustrated. I can't find a job. Rush detests the socialism agenda of the President. That kind of spend and tax agenda is not getting me a job. I am waiting to see if I can get a job building roads and bridges. I have no experience in this area. I am a factory worker and a good one at that. I do not need a union, and will work hard for any person who owns a factory. Rush backs people like that. Kudos.

Just like Reagan got to clean up Carters mess by lowering taxes, which resulted in a great economy, President Mitt Romney in 2012 will get to fix economic mess that Obama (granted he inherited this mess, which was really caused by the Democratic takeover of Congress in 2006) through his failed policies, ruined. By the way, all you liberals who are accusing Republicans of attacking Obama, what do you think the Democrats were doing to Bush most of his term? You are just upset that your messiah Obama is not living up to your expectations already.

Rush echoes the values that I have held since the seventies, when I finally realized the difference between a conservative and a liberal. I have worked as a consultant to both government and private industry in the IT field for over thirty years. My life experiences tell me that Dems are, in general, either lazy, elitist, ignorant, or all three. My frustration level working with government was off the charts - trying to get anything accomplished with them was almost impossible. With them, all about form, never substance. No meaningful project deadlines, no thought of how their inability to make a decision affected the bottom line, etc. Most of Rush's fans listen to him because he vocalizes their values. They, as I , are not his followers. Just his fellow conservatives who want the best for this country.
When I was in college, I was a democrat - but I was a kid who didn't know any better.

Are you forgetting that onece he lowered the taxes, he was then forced to turn around 2 years later and raise the to make up for what was lost when he lowered them.
You are likely too young to know that there was lots of tax raising under Reagen. He just didn't call them taxes. He referred to them as "User Fees". But believe me, a 5% user fee amounts to the same as a 5% tax hike. One more thing: When he froze the minimum wages for the ones makikng the least, that 5% user fee caused their $3.35 an hour to have less buying power. Get some facts before shooting off your mouth about the late not so great Ronald Reagan. Read this whole article. It has some good things to say about him. But it also reveals some truth's about him that conservatives don't want to acknowledge. http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/2001/0301.green.html
Oh, almost forgot: He was on ther verge of resigning because of the Drugs for hostages deal. You know... the Iran/Contra deal. It was an embarassment to Reagan and conservatives seem to have forgotten it.

Fire eagle The basis of National Socialist (Nazism) is to have the Nation and the Business world to act as ONE. One of the first targets of the Nazis were the Trade Unions. Breaking Unions to support the interests of the Captains of Industry, That does not sound like Obama it sounds more like Bush/Reagan. Take a compative Political course before you throw out labels
