Obama: You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry...
A lot of details can get lost in the mix while Washington's best and brightest debate the president's stimulus package. In short, Democrats mostly want to OK the $819 billion boost, while Republicans want to trim it down and include more tax breaks.
It would appear to be a civil debate, maybe a little partisan, but certainly nothing worthy of Taiwan-style parliamentary fistfights --
Oh wait. Barack "The Hulk" Obama just walked in.
Speaking at the House Dems' retreat in Virginia, Obama threw down his stick and pads, spat on the floor and growled in the face of cameras -- metaphorically. Though the president did mock his opponents in the GOP for criticizing how the aid package requires too much spending, saying:
"What do you think a stimulus is? It's spending. That's the whole point! No, seriously, that's the point."
Hey, easy, big guy. We're just saying, maybe we should ease back on the trillion-dollar cash delivery, and have a reasonable discussion about it. I mean, why are we spending $800 billion when we've got this deficit --
"First of all, I found this deficit when I showed up, number 1," Obama barked back. "I found this national debt doubled, wrapped in a big bow waiting for me when I stepped into the Oval Office."
Well, at least it was wrapped!
All right, so party politics is back (did it ever leave?), and it's finally getting fun again. Just this week, John McCain, apparently unaware of Nov. 4's results, returned to the spotlight to offer up his own stimulus package, roughly half the size of Obama's and made up almost entirely of tax cuts. It was promptly rejected in the Senate.
And, before that, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi asserted her dominance to reporters when one asked her about Rush Limbaugh and Matt Drudge influencing the stimulus's makeup. "I am the speaker of the House. I don't get into that," she said while waving away the question, Politico reported.
Quick, somebody fetch this Congress a bucket of water. 'Cos it is on fire!

There are many of us that don't like Obama period and really don't care if he gets mad. We also don't trust him. We certainly don't want all the waste in this so called stimulus, and no, we didn't like the bail out under Bush. What we would like is to keep the money we've earned. That would be the best stimulus to the economy that we could have.

He is so arrogant. Why in the world did he have to fly to VA? Why did he go at all? Couldn't he have had the same meeting in DC before they left???? No, he fired up AF-1 and flew there and then thanked them for giving him a reason to use it..."it's nice" he said. What a joke. The man is nothing more than an arrogant, immature idiot! He is in way over his head and he knows it. He probably goes upstairs at night and says "crap! What have I gotten myself into this time????"

Where's your proof there bud. You make a lot of accusations with nothing to back you up. What ANY of these people did before they were elected is void and null. Otherwise we can get Obama for his relationships with terrorists. You claim this is all racist? WOW, I find it difficult to add to the many comments although I ask, "WHERE THE HECK WERE YOU ON NOV 4th"? NoBama is certainly proving he has no experience and is depending on the two stooges Pelosi & Reid to run this country for him. Oh did I mention they're not doing so well? I do not want Nobama to succeed because if he does, my country will have failed after 233 years of success. You all (mostly) are doing a fine job. I find it difficult to add more than my voice in high approval for those who recognize that Nobama is an inexperienced, Chicago thug politician. If he can't get it by leadership (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA), then he'll get angry and get you with his Chicago knee capping team. If it weren't so dangerous to our country and our way of life, I'd say sit back and watch the show. Democrats eat there own!!!!!!! In the meantime keep up the awareness of what a mess Nobama, Pelosi and Reid are making of this country. The GOP is back to the same old thinking and just won't accept President Obama's new ideas. It will take more than just tax cuts to get this economy rolling, it will take some long term adjustments like the ones that the president wants. I don't care what the media, the people, or anything else adovocates, I trust what the president wants to do is our best options.

Why? Because he told you too? I didn't believe a word he said during his campaign...mostly because he refused to give any details about his idea of what CHANGE meant. And after seeing the complete fiasco his team has just picking his cabinet I am truly afraid it is going to be much, much worse than I expected! So far he has done nothing but spend and propose more spending ideas. He closed Gitmo while having no clue what to do with the prisoners we are holding. He once again angered and insulted our military, the moderate American Muslims have now said that his speech on Muslim television hurt their cause in Middle Eastern countries...they virtually called him a fool. He insulted Isreal with his speech to the Palistinians...and all this in just 3 weeks! Heaven help us if he gets this massive handout program passed and our deficit doubles with NO new jobs created! The more I see, the more I believe he is just NOT up to the job!
