Just when you thought the Bush-era warnings of Armageddon around the corner were over, Cheney strikes again.
The former vice president hasn't been seen in public since Inauguration Day, when he was rolling around in a wheelchair due to an injury sustained lifting boxes. But a few days ago, he gave an interview to Politico, in which he warns there is a "high probability" that terrorists will attack with biological or nuclear weapons in the next few years. He worries that now that his boss is out of office and back in Texas, the Obama administration policies will make the attacks more likely to succeed.
"When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an Al Qaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States against people who are absolutely committed to doing anything they can to kill Americans, then I worry," Cheney said.
I think he's just worried we are not worrying enough now that he's not there to worry us.
But for all his worrying, Cheney is a confident man. Saturday Night Live recently mocked Dick Cheney, parodying him as a man with no regrets from his often-controversial eight years in the Bush administration. He told Politico he still thinks Guantanamo is a "first-class program" and said he believes one day files will be made public that show that policies like waterboarding were directly responsible for preventing another Sept. 11-like attack.
Cheney reminds me of another SNL creation: Debbie Downer.

Former VP Cheney's warning about biological attack threat is as real as reading the writing on the wall. When the Gitmo is closed and the terrorists are turned loose, because of their hatred over American, they will do whatever they can to come back and cause bigger harm to Americans than in 9/11 attack. This is as clear as the crystal ball can project.

Remember the Mumbai ,India attack by islamic terrorists? It could have been prevented. India has many islamic terrorist attacks in the past but they never learned from it.Bush put the safeguards in place and protected us since 9/11. Bill Clinton the womanizer could have prevented 9/11. He had so many islamic terrorist warning signs and attacks. Remember the USS Cole bombing, the Khobar tower bombing in Saudi Arabia, the WTC garage bombing in 1993.Bill Clinton had many opportunities to prevent 9/11 and get Bin Ladin much earlier.During his watch Sudan offered to give up Bin Ladin but he refused. The last major islamic terrorist signal which Bush won't have missed was the 1998 bombings of 2 US embassies in Africa by Al-Qaeda which should have triggered the invasion of Afghanistan to get Bin Ladin,Al-Qaeda and the Talibans.Bill Clinton is as incompetent as Obama.Bill Clinton is responsible for the massacre and horrific deaths of 3,000 American 100% innocent civlians on 9/11 which the democrtas enjoyed watching since they are not going to waterboard the islamic terrorists, stopping the trials and closing GITMO . About 60 of the 500 islamic terrorists released from GITMO so far went right back to kill US troops. We are back to pre-9/11 mentality. Unfortunately some Americans will have to die to rapidly get rid of the corrupt and incompetent Obama administration. It is inevitable that islamic terrorist attacks on our homeland will start soon. The US military will then be forced to take over the gov't to protect our freedom, our justice system, our citizens and our homeland.

I find that interesting as "Clinton" was one of the master-minds of NAFTA. Which we all know was one of the leading steps to "American" jobs heading over-seas. Of course, the Bush administrations did not help in any-way. They are only pre-curser for what is coming, tho.
The media openly admit that this presidency was bought and paid for. By who?!!! Our country is being sold out by big business. You would be shocked if you knew how many other countries actually OWNED business in America. What happened to our anti-trust laws??
Enron should have been a wake-up call. It wasn,t, evidently. Some of the same players move to the recently unregulated commodity markets and drove the price of energy (fuel) through the roof. Now that they have been caught they expect the government to bail them out at our expense...

Which is much longer than most of you here have BEEN ALIVE !!! . . . Stand by and watch, . . What he is predicting now will be HEADLINE NEWS in the near future !!! . . Just because Obama is half Black doesn't mean that the world's TERRORISTS are going to cut him OR US any slack . . .
WAIT AND WATCH !!! . . . Barack Obama is playing a dangerous game and refusing to listen to the wise counsel of our Most Capable Military Leaders. . . In fact, . . He's refusing to even CONSIDER anyone else's point of view on Military and Foriegn Relations matters. . . He's in a DREAM WORLD !!!

The author's last name and all too cute tract home first name makes me think she was given the nomenclature as a reminder of the condition some people find work that suits their opinion. Using this media to take a swing at someone else. Get a real job little Miss Debbie . You got the one you now have during the Bush administration. Amazing considering the dripping wet liberal that you are.

Is this a case of "I can't really answer your points, so I will just attack you"? Kaitlynn, you do not answer his concerns, you merely insult him. Why would you do this? Maybe it would save time if you wrote, "You know, I just don't like Dick Cheney. The end." The truth that you bypass on your way to mocking Mr. Cheney is this: whatever their "controversies", under the Bush/Cheney watch there has been no other attack on our soil since 9/11. It does not seem at all out of order, given the current administration's inexperience and ineptitude to date, for the former VP (and many of us as well!) to carry concern about the days coming.

Mike......................Barack has appointed people without problems, 3 had problems and bowed out quietly. It is distressing when folks have the "all or nothing" mentality, I will never find a girlfriend, she always does that. Anyhow, Cheney is a snake and just the fact that they ignored the first intel and signs about Al Qaeda in 2001 but used that to go after Sadam gives me chills. So in what way has Bush and Cheney kept us safe? While there have been no more attacks on American soil, Al Qaeda and insurrgents have managed to kill what 6,000 of our young people, helped to bankrupt our country, thousands of innocent bystanders...........we shipped Bin Laden all the targets he needed to leave America crying for along time.

When I think of reading rights to terrorists, I think of Daniel Pearl. I think of the unmitigated evil that he had to endure and he was probably a liberal guy at heart not truly comprehending that these men disguised as human beings would actually cut off his head. We are not dealing with people who are Americans, who should be afforded the rights of Americans, who were on American soil when captured and they SHOULD NOT be treated as if they have the rights of any citizen foreign or American if they are not on our soil when captured. Different rules apply. Now, when they do use chemicals on our schools or stadiums and we happen to apprehend them, then we legally are required to read them their rights and provide an attorney if they dont have one. All you leftys want to sit down at Dunkin Donuts and make kissy face with these people who want to kill your Mother and then drag her dead body down to the front steps of the White House. History will view George Bush for the hero he was for not caring about what the polls said but making decisions based on the intelligence gathered and staying the course based on information WE are NOT privy to but Cheney is. Whats lacking in this country is character. I just hope that if we do suffer another attack it will be in the states who elected a president that ignored the danger and thought Bush was the idiot. Wake up people.

Dont understimate Dick Cheney he is a very smart
man regardless of political party. Mr Obama does
not have the answers or the power to make the changes
he proposes. As far as the terrorists they kill
democrats and republicans equally. To try to use
diplomcy with a muslim terrorist will not work.
They will kill us now or later they are patient
people. Closing gitmo is a mistake already Mr Obama
has made mistakes this early in office. You will see
this administration fail the stimulus bill will not
solve our problems nor save our economy A nation
divided can not stand and we have beem devided too
long. Mr Obama in his auguration talked about this
country being Christian and Muslim and unbelievers
This country was founded on Judeo/Christian beliefs
our whole law system was based on the 10 commandments
and statutes that are directly tied to the bible and
the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. They are etched
in stone on the walls of our nations capital. We have
come to thepoint where we have thrown God out of our
Society our schools and our Government. So we will
pay the penalty of turning our backs on God. Unless
this country repents on a national level our blessed
nation will come to an end as we know it. God says
he raises up nations and takes them down. Yes Mr
Cheney you are right we need to be afraid

I think our military should use all they need and be given all they need without question or reproach. The last thing they should worry about is what will be said, because the threat is different (biological). Why should anyone care? The terrorists were showing us pictures of decapitations of american citizens. Oh but that was ok by some americans but we cant waterboard but they can chop off your neighbors head. those people will ALWAYS HATE US FOR ONE REASON OR ANOTHER WE WILL NEVER TRUST THEM OR HAVE PEACE WITH THEM EVER NOR THEY WITH US GET IT? THEY ARE BRED TO HATE. What an ass, is what I thought of Bush and and never voted for him, but I agreed with his stance militarily and stil do. I voted for Clinton because she is focused on the USA. Obama talked about change? what the color of the president? I thought people were stupid for voting for Bush not once but twice and again instead of choosing someone with a proven record chose a candidate with a mere three years in politics as senator. But he is articulate hope that helps

I believe that Bush shared everything with Obama and McCain before the election in order to insure safety for our nation. Obama knows what we are dealing with but is choosing a different path to deal with it. I for one think we need to try everything before the situation deteriorates further. The terrorists who are financed by the entire middle east, are dedicated to taking down this country. They have been, way before Bush/Cheney or even Clinton/Gore. This is a very old problem that was ignored and now the movement has grown. I don't know if there is an answer but I do know that Bush was a visionary for putting our troops square in the middle of them. If you believe that the war was some kind of power grab because Bush wanted more money somehow then you are way off base. He did not cause the middle east problem and he held them away for 7 years. Did you know that hospitals now have a code that they practice called "Code Shelter in Place"? The hospital will go on lockdown, no one can enter or leave and the doors and windows are taped down and the air is shut off. This is reality folks and no matter what party is in office it will happen. Its called a dirty bomb and the ingredients are already on our shores. You may not like it but that won't make it go away. This is a time for us to be unified and not taking shots at each other. We need to quit the political bickering and work together. This bickering is a new celebrity game and we need to take back our leadership from tv talk show hosts and movie stars. Just because they are charming and cute does not make them smarter than you.
