Just when you thought the Bush-era warnings of Armageddon around the corner were over, Cheney strikes again.
The former vice president hasn't been seen in public since Inauguration Day, when he was rolling around in a wheelchair due to an injury sustained lifting boxes. But a few days ago, he gave an interview to Politico, in which he warns there is a "high probability" that terrorists will attack with biological or nuclear weapons in the next few years. He worries that now that his boss is out of office and back in Texas, the Obama administration policies will make the attacks more likely to succeed.
"When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an Al Qaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States against people who are absolutely committed to doing anything they can to kill Americans, then I worry," Cheney said.
I think he's just worried we are not worrying enough now that he's not there to worry us.
But for all his worrying, Cheney is a confident man. Saturday Night Live recently mocked Dick Cheney, parodying him as a man with no regrets from his often-controversial eight years in the Bush administration. He told Politico he still thinks Guantanamo is a "first-class program" and said he believes one day files will be made public that show that policies like waterboarding were directly responsible for preventing another Sept. 11-like attack.
Cheney reminds me of another SNL creation: Debbie Downer.

Mr. Cheney is only trying to tell BO that reaching out to, especially the muslims, will do no good. In case you don't know it, there are thousands of them in the USA that want us all dead. He seems more interested in being seen on TV, than back in his office working. I think we were right when we said we do not need a learning on the job, president.

Who in their right mind would believe a word Cheney has to say?
Bush/Cheney failed to protect America even though there were many, many red flag warnings.
Cheney is just trying to pre-empt the PR war since it is becoming clearer that Americans want Cheney, Bush, Rummey and crew tried for war crimes.

Cheny and Bush both cowards who made sure the avoided my war Vietnam. Both are cowards, and have committed Treason. They have also commited mass murder, torture, and financial disaster in America. They both should be hung in public on national TV.

cheney is so arrogant by resurfacing to make this statement, or maybe he's affraid of his inevitable conviction for war crimes and crimes against citizens of the u.s. this scare tactic is what they used to cause the iraq war. now he is using it to divert attention from his greedy crimes. i'm sure he can afford to finance another attack on u.s. like they did nine-eleven.

It is only a matter of time before terrorist strike at the USSA I(United Socialist States of America) with Nuclear, Chemical, or Biological weapons. And then you will be very sorry that you elected such a weak-kneed, socialist, elitist, Marxist, racist, far-left liberal as your president....Registered Independent

Considering Dick Cheney said Sadam had Nuclear Weapons and he profits from the Haliburton Contracts.."you know you do dick"...I don't believe a word out of his mouth. However, point taken, we should worry simply because there are nuclear weapons on the earth period! I believe President Obama loves America and wants to protect it's citizens. I have no doubt "IF" his staff does their job, America will remain as safe as can be expected considering the current condition the world is in. Poverty breeds desperation. I believe Obama is trying to stop poverty as best he can. He's only been President a short two weeks! He got stuck with Bush Administrations errors, neglects, thievery and a mass of incompetent politicians. Let me just say to all those Senators who aren't willing to work to better America...and are more interested in lining their own pockets with capital gain, Justice Prevails. I am sick of living in fear may God save the world.

I CANT BELIEVE PEOPLE STILL CAN'T SEE THE EVILS THAT BUSH AND CHANY DID TO THIS COUNTRY. THE DAY THOSE SCUMBAGS LEFT WASHINGTON WAS ONE OF THE HAPPIEST DAYS OF MY LIFE. I CRIED WITH JOY ,AND ONCE AGAIN SAW A GLIMMER OF HOPE, WHICH IS WHAT AMERICAN'S LOST UNDER THE BUSH REGIME.

Is Cheney trying to draw fire in order to get more business for his Dubai company, Halliburton? All of those saying Bush/Cheney kept us safe are forgetting that 9/11 occurred on GW's watch...we were not very safe were we? Blaming Clinton is simply a distraction, they ignored his warnings. Of course they are also blaming Obama for our current economic meltdown when we all know GW is completely responsible for that.

Cheney seems to forget that 9/11 occurred on his watch...oh yes, we were really safe. They blame Clinton but ignored his warnings. His comments are meant to draw fire so his Dubai company, Halliburton, can make more money off of the suffering of others. The Bush cronies will also blame Obama for the current economic meltdown even though we all know it was the Bush/Cheney regime who are responsible

Cheney's a dangerous lunatic and the 911 "attack" was a fraud to instill fear in the people by the elite. the man is lucky he's fooled most folks because if they ever catch on he would be in prison for life for the baloney he's pulled.

The only reason we didn't have an attack during the Bush administration is no one wanted to attack us, for whatever reason!!
The fact is anyone can drive a tank across our northern and southern border any time they want to,undetected.
