Palin Seeks $11M Book Deal, but Can She Read?

Whatever's going to be in the book, the former VP candidate is asking for an $11 million book deal, and has hired a famous Washington lawyer to get it for her, the Los Angeles Times revealed. (That's more than Laura Bush's less-than $2 million, Bill Clinton's $10 million memoir and Hillary Clinton's $8 million deal.)
The figure is obviously a bit staggering, given Palin's inability to construct simple sentences in subject-verb format. That's probably what prompted left-leaning MSNBC host Chris Matthews to blatantly state, "If she can read, if she can write, she's gonna make some money."
"The big question is," Matthews determined, "Who's gonna actually write the Palin book? The only politician I know who can write is Barack Obama."
To answer Matthews's question: Yes, Sarah Palin knows how to read. In fact, I believe she's very well-versed in biblical studies, having plenty of knowledge to declare that dinosaurs and humans in fact co-existed.
Although when Katie Couric asked the Alaska governor which newspapers she reads to know what's going on outside of her bubble, Palin was too stunned and couldn't think of any. (She figured it out a few days later and declared that she can read a few upper-level publications, among them The Economist.)
No doubt people will ask why this is all newsworthy more than two months after she failed to help John McCain win the election. The simple answer is because Palin appears to be trying to stay in the spotlight as much as she can, as her fans urge her to consider a 2012 presidential candidacy.
Yet top endorsements for her are hard to come by, especially following a GOP ticket that many people say she hurt more than helped. Even her knight in maverick armor, McCain, wouldn't endorse her over other Republican governors.
Aside from telling her life story to stay in the news, Palin has lashed out at the media again, this time for reporting about her children. Though politicos have pointed out that publicity is a two-way street: You can't thrust your kids in front of cameras to bolster your "family values" without expecting journalists to report on who your family really is.
Finally, remember Palin's $180,000 wardrobe that she said would be donated to charity after the election? Turns out all the clothes have been stuffed in trash bags at the RNC's Washington headquarters.
Though if Palin doesn't clean up her mess, her clothes won't be the only things in the garbage.

I know Caroline Kennedy wrote books and if she can I'm sure Sarah Palin can, you know. Matt, you don't appear so intelligent to me, yet you think you can write and brainwash the public. You know, intelligent people are tired of the news media trying to push their ideas on us. My friends and family all know that you can't trust most the news you hear or read now because you only report what you want. Then you write ridicules articles like this and expect us to fall for it. I'm sorry, but I'm not buying. God gave me a brain and I use it. I don't even consider people like you as journalist. A real journalist reports the news and lets you decide. I think all of you that are feeding the public with your biased and propaganda views will soon learn that you under estimate the American people. You should take pride in your job. You need to learn what integrity means also. That's what the American people want. Journalist like you think the people don't have brains are they wouldn't write such garbage and people are really getting tired of the news media. Why are so many of the top papers and magazines going under? Because intelligent people didn't want to pay for them when you can buy a tabloid magazine cheapier and get the same report.

Palin has boldly stated she wants to be the next Rep. nominee for President. First, the unbridled ambition she has, which is not backed up by talent, turns me off. She is also as much of a publicity hog as Ann Coulter when she is pushing a book. Since Palin had the lowest IQ of any nominee this year, and is suprisingly unversed in international affairs - she will never be nominated, and I don't think the media should give her a spotlight. If she wants publicity, it shouldn't be because of her whining which appears in the mass media free of charge. They should make her pay for ads, and otherwise tell her she is not newsworthy.

I have a lot of difficulty identifying with the anger that some people have about Sarah Palin. She's from Alaska, and speaks Alaskan, and I suppose that some big city liberals don't understand her, but she's no dummy. I was relieved to hear her honesty, even though I disagreed with some of her thoughts. Her problem arose when the Republican machine tried to change her. McCain would have done much worse if she wasn't on the ticket, but he realized early on that he was about to get his butt kicked. Sarah added a glimmer of excitement to an otherwise dismal campaign.

Few women have Sarah Palin's courage, so why aren't other women backing her? If a woman like Palin were to run a successful presidency, where would women who use the excuse as being "only a female, the bible told me to be submissive" hide? Many women like playing subordinate roles because it doesn't take any courage or gumption, and are angry at successful women who go out and achieve something in this world because it gives them less of an excuse to hide behind "nurturing and supportive roles" which are rely just another way of saying "don't have the courage to get out in the playing field would rather let men do it." If women don't like the way men run this world, and the music, movie, financial, and political arenas, why don't more women get involved? Is it because they'd rather take the safe route of being a nurse or schoolteacher where it's safe and you get social approval?

Phil: You are so right. if we could get term limits, all the non-sence and run away spending would be over.
Our government is bloated on power and our money. Sarah Palin was a breath of fresh air. (Currie, whom I will never watch again) was set up to make her look stupid by the controlled media.
The question stunned her because it was asked, not because she had no answer. A stupid question like that? Yes Obama is a great speaker. He has been primed for the presidency since 1993 to champion a New World Order. He had lots of experience as a neighbor hood organizer, and an Acorn trainer. That really made him qualified. He finally admits he is half Muslim.
He has a five million hide away in Hawaii, and a 1.9 million home next to his questionable friends from his neighborhood planning, and 700 million for his campaign. Government money or Muslim money? We have a champion here who is taking over the sole power of the government as fast as his pens come. Putnim was the first to congratulate him.

Obama the golden statue
Hi, ray I keep having a sense warning me to not watch Obama's speech or his inauguration. Therefore, I stayed away as far as possible.
On January 19, I fast and pray. I didn't even pray for Obama or any other former president, instead, I pray for the people in my church, I pray for me to want to know the Lord more than ever and I pray to have a strong desire to tell other people about the Lord Jesus .
On January 19, 2009 that night I have a dream, in that dream I saw the earth was covered with darkness and in the mid of the darkness, I saw a large beam of light shining like a very high power lamp all over a vast area. I began to wonder about that large light. I heard a voice from above telling me 3 times to focus on the lighted area. I turned and look carefully toward that lighted area, in the mid of the light I saw a huge golden statue, that golden statue was the shining lamp to all those vast area, and along with this huge golden statue there were many smaller statues placed beside with this big one as a straight line, from the largest to the smallest statue. However, those smaller statues have no light at all but since the huge golden one were shining so bright that everyone of the smaller statues were also shining brightly.
I started to wonder and really wanted to know what’s the meaning of these statues because this is the first time I ever seen in my life. As I still wonder and keep questioning the Lord Jesus about the statues, I heard a voice from above saying, “ look very close to the biggest shining one, you’ll know its meaning “. Suddenly, the Lord magnified the statue I carefully look at it one more time at the golden statue which shining like a high power lamp and it is an image of a man but he is dead, his eyes were closed and there is no life found in him at all but somehow, I wonder why he is shining so bright. I began asking the Lord, “ Oh Lord, how can a dead image can give out light, please tell me what is this golden statue represent ? “ The voice from above said, “ you’ll know in just a moment. “ Suddenly, I saw countless numbers of people standing around the golden statues. Some of them were there to worshipping the statue, some of them just standing there and wonder because the golden statue were so bright, some of them were so happy to be there because the statue were just receiving his new power and authority, some of them were there because the statue gives them light in the mid of the darkness. I started even more wonder and wanted to know what is the meaning of the statue, the voice of the Lord said, “ The shining statue that you are seeing is Barack Obama. “ Suddenly, a loud voice of a heavenly trumpet sound, a loud voice from heaven saying, “ any one that watch, worship, praise and rejoce with the golden statue and other smaller statues will never be caught up with the Lord in the sky but they all will be burned in hell. “ Suddenly, hell break and all those laughing and happy faces that standing around the golden statue were panic, running everywhere and crying for help. Hell broke and swallowed all of them and none of them were no where to be found, only a small group of God’s people whose name were rewritten in the book of life that were refused to be there to worship, to watch, to praise and rejoice with the shining statue were raptured with the Lord Jesus Christ above the sky.
I heard the loud voice of the Lord call my name and said, “ You are the same thing, if you don’t run as far as possible from the golden statue and other smaller statues, you will not be caught up with me. “ I start to run and run as fast as I can, but no matter were I go I still see the big face of the dead shining statue, I call on the Lord said, “ Oh Lord, please help me? I have no more energy to run. “ The good Lord lifted me up and put me on a far place beside a big lake. It is a quiet and peaceful place. However, far away from the horizon I still can see the light of this golden statue shining toward the sky just like in Las Vegas.
I was lifted up high and I saw the evil’s power covered the whole earth with darkness everywhere then I woke up with shaking and sweat. I started to pray and won’t sleep all night.
The next morning I went to work, I watched Fox, and Yahoo news, they said all the people around the world that watched the inauguration were about 1 billion. About two day later the news said, Obama turn around to give federal fund for human cloning research, and support the homosexual organization, and will fund lots of money to plan parent hood for abortion and will give money to walfare for those who don’t want to work.

Leaders like Sarah Palin dont have to be the sharpest tack in the box. They can lead with their chrisma and moral concience, She is a born leader, Who is smart enough to pick the experts that most closely agree with her morale compass. Unfortunitly the Republicans have burned them selves so bad that Sarah may have to lead a third party to secure a constutionly conservative government a place in the leadership of our traditional American values in government.

Usely you get a multi-million dollar book deal after you've actually accomplished something, or you're perceived to have some closely guarded information to tell. A losing Vice-Presidential candidate hardly qualifies. Like who would want to read a book by Geraldine Ferraro or Joe Lieberman.(Or for that matter, a losing Presidential candidate. Do you want to read a book by McCain, Kerry or Dole?). This is a woman who wouldn't go near "Face The Nation" or "Meet The Press" when her views mattered, and now that they don't anymore, she wants us to PAY for the priviledge of reading her thoughts.
