Obama Mania, European Style

Barack Obama's historic presidential win means a lot for the United States and all Americans. The change in executive regime, the revitalization of the White House, the palpable change in public political perception: all good things.
Additionally, Obama's election has meant a lot to us Americans abroad. It also means a lot to Europeans in general, triggering what the New York Times dubbed a "European euphoria" over the election results. The imminent end of the Bush era has ushered Americans back into the good graces of our European counterparts.
There seems to be a sense throughout the EU that Americans have finally come to their senses. General goodwill now meets me in stores when the clerk hears my American accent. "Ah, American! How about that election, huh?" This is followed by big smiles all along, sometimes a fist-pumping in the air (by the clerk, not me) and a quick "Obama!" chant. The Irish students are even less subtle. At a house party the other night, I was standing with a group of other American students when a slightly... ahem... inebriated Irish guy comes over to our group, gives us the once-over and nods. "Americans!" he cried. And then, drawing the attention of everyone else in the crowded kitchen, he began to yell "Obama! Obama! Obama!" And people joined in. Enthusiastically.
Although the full-fledged fervor of the moment reminds me of the recent South Park episode parodying Obama's acceptance speech-- more accurately, it reminds me of the parody of the excited viewers running around shouting "Yeah! Obama! It's change!!"-- I'll take it. It's certainly a nice change (ha) from telling people I'm Canadian.

Euphoria??? NOT QUITE
I have read that in Ecuador, the campaign for president was eerily similar to that of Obama for the US to manipulate the press and the public, even the slogans (CHANGE, YES WE CAN, etc.) are the same. Correa’s campaign was part of a plan laid out by Castro at the Marxist Sao Paulo’s forum in the 90’s to spread Marxism. So, what is Correa now doing? he's a dictator working with Chávez y Islamics.
You will take note that the OBAMA's campaigning with his cousin Odinga contained the same slogan's You know the "one" about Change and the one about SPREAD THE WEALTH was also used and the claims that they are christians.
All the while pre-planned on the agenda was the subsequent maming, killing and burning alive men, women and children and their church.
The article went on to state that when the Ecuadorian's heard about the similiarities of these campaigns they urged American's should not allow themselves to be fooled by them.
Perhaps the catch phrase of this election should be--when will we learn, oh baby, when will we learn?
Latin American president turn dictators (chavez, morales, and correa) all apparently connected with soros and who else? the Islamists.
well Informed Ecuadorians weren't able to convince their clueless compatriots that Correa was a fake and not the young, wonderful savior the media was portraying. They couldn't compete in ads with the millions Correa had (mostly from unknown sources) spent (sound familiar??). The CHANGE has been toward Marxism and GREATER poverty for all.
HOW MANY PEOPLE DON'T know that the press had only 2 days prior to the election issued a blank statement that in the USA THERE would be a bloodbath if obama didn't win the election. (sound familiar??)
PERHAPS the best catch-phrase of this election should be WAKE UP AMERICA THE FREEDOMS YOU SAVE WILL BE YOUR OWN.

I think what's important to remember about Obama's historic candidacy and election is that it almost didn't happen: http://urbzen.com/2008/11/18/history-is-just-a-series-of-accidents-in-time/

this election is all about race. the demos/libs are only skin deep. we could have safety mccain & surplus palin - not a first family that looks more kenyan's, nigeria's, & congo's than usa's - well maybe usa stands for united states of africa now with a black first family in the black house - only white man can make a white house - black man make black house. the black minority ruling the white majority - the white must be the most stupid, spineless, scum race on earth. one danger is, the majority of all the other countries are very nervous &will boycott obama/usa (libs/demos) because arabs don't want a christian white ruling them - they've to kill the trend - can't let it become popular - especially the french & other european countries want a black fashionable obama to rule their majority. 2. if barry falls short of his supporters' expection - they'll make him go jesus's way - they're very excitable & fast. 3. blacks are everywhere - ads, tv, work, play - so sick & tire of blacks. get their own stuff. the rest of the blacks better keep the pirates & criminals down instead of using them - africans will go extinct. so far the africans contribute nothing to mother earth except crime, welfre, foreignaid - on begging, robbing side. usa don't own black - go ask payback from african chiefs who capture them & sold them to whites. america don't become rich because of cotton - industrial revolution/inventions make america ridh. like all tribals of the world black & brown should go extinct. if the dinosaurs don't go extinct where will human be? some species - let them go - it's evil to save them - them or the world.

Europeans can be very abusive and disdainful people. Why do we want the acceptance of a nazi continent? I have a theory that the reason the US has been so successful because we aren't as inbred. Countries in Europe do not like each other, and the social classes don't mix. The same old tired genetic pool for tens of thousands of year. I worked at a university and was shocked at the differing levels of intellectual ability of Americans who have been here for generations versus fresh off the boats from Europe. Americans were probably about 40 points higher in IQ. This chaps the behinds of Euros who look down on us uncultured mutts. Of course they're happy that we made a disasterous choice of an inexpereinced empty suit for a president over a real leader like Clinton or McCain. They're peeing their pants with glee. That's like giving up and crying uncle and caving to public opinion and popularity over what's right.
