Sarah Palin = Miss South Carolina, 2007?
If you thought Sarah Palin's response to Katie Couric's question about the $700 billion bailout last week sounded familiar, it's because it was.
Remember Miss South Carolina from the 2007 Teen USA beauty pageant? Roll tape.
Here's Palin's raw response:
"That's why I say I, like every American I'm speaking with, were ill about this position that we have been put in, where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But, ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the healthcare reform that is needed to help shore up our economy, um, helping the, oh -- it's gotta be all about job creation too, shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So healthcare reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americans, and trade, we have, we've got to see trade as opportunity, not as, uh, a competitive scary thing, but one in five jobs being created in the trade sector today, we've got to look at that as more opportunity, all those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that."
And, of course, Miss South Carolina, answering why some Americans can't locate the United States on a world map:
"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have maps, and I believe that our education, like such as South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere like such as and. I believe that they should, our education over here, in the U.S., should help the U.S., or should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children."

I'd rather have Ms. South Carolina as VP.

My reaction exactly! However, I didn't rememeber that it was a teenage contestant. So Miss SC must be "one of us" too and both ready to rule the free world. I'd say poor John McC is senile

Cute. Very cute. Your kind is always cute, until you get a bit older and then you're just sad. But cute Matty. But when you're older well you'll just be a bitchy swarmy thing.
