Obama the Plagiarist!

Filed under: US Elections, Politics, Featured Stories, Boston UniversityI don't know if I'm offended as a journalist or as a comedian.
Everyone today is talking about Barack Obama's silly little comment about John McCain's policies being an ugly pig that not even lipstick can pretty up. But the real story lies in his preceding words, lifted almost straight from a Tom Toles political cartoon.

Obama mocked McCain's claim that the Arizona senator is the real "change" agent that Washington needs. He said:
"Watch out, George Bush! Except for economic policy, healthcare policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy and Karl Rove-style politics, we're really going to shake things up in Washington!"
Hah. Hah.
And now the text from Toles's Washington Post cartoon, spoken by the caricatured McCain standing next to Sarah Palin near the White House:
"Watch out, Mr. Bush! With the exception of economic policy and energy policy and social issues and tax policy and foreign policy and Supreme Court appointments and Rove-style politics, we're coming in there to shake things up!"
Now, in Obama's defense, he's pretty accurate (and so is Toles, unsurprisingly). There are scant policy differences between McCain's positions on the big issues and President Bush's. The difference between the two Republicans lies pretty much in age and military service.
Also, I recall seeing Obama on a cable-news network referencing the cartoonist's work before he made his diatribe. So, a little half-tribution there.
But come on, Barack! What is it, seven months since you were accused of plagiarizing Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick's "just words" speech? And you also selected as a running mate a man who left the 1988 presidential primary race amid accusations of plagiarism?
If this guy is elected, should we expect his inauguration address to begin, "Four score and seven years ago, I had a dream that we have nothing to fear but fear itself"?
Sometimes you just can't teach an old pig new tricks.

The truth here is that you don't give a damn about who becomes president as long as they are white...isn't that correct?

The big lie here is that you accuse Barack Obama of plagerism while you simultaneously "recall seeing Obama on a cable-news network referencing the cartoonist's work before he made his diatribe"
Translation...You're full of schit You are attacking Obama based on the false assumption that he did not give credit to the cartoonist for using the message from the cartoon.
In short you are a liar and a hypocrite.

How is it that this author calls Obama, but missed McCain's acceptance speech for republican nominee was almost word for word a Bush speech. McCain et al are just liars. They are like Bush they say lies and keep repeating them thinking somehow it will either become true, with the hope that people have the memory of a goldfish or just plain stupid. Sadly they are out there.

I think most of the voters know this guy was given a free pass. And he is screaming "racist" every chance he gets. We have never been this divided since the 60s. And trust me, I had my chair sitting in the back of the bus as a child. Being half black it annoys me when I see a 1/4 black man trying to pass as a civil rights black man. This man has used every scheme of oratorship to get where he is at and I think the trip to europe was his downfall. His numbers started to go down and down. The american people don't like show offs. Especially going to another country and telling them "that we are sorry for being bullies". This country holds together when it comes to our flag and country. This is why the polls are showing that the grassroots have joined forces with the "white old ladies- white old men- hispanic -youth-republican african americans and last but the strongest Hillary's supporters, yes, the bitter, clinging to religion and guns. Those folks. Information of the savior and his background has managed to get to people's eyes and ears, and we don't want to sell our country to a man with such scary ties.

THE REPUBLICAN LANGUAGE
If you spend 3 years as a community organizer growing your organization from a staff of 1 to 13 and your budget from $70,000 to $400,000, then become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new African Amerian voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, then spend nearly 8 more years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, becoming chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, then spend nearly 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of nearly 13 million people, sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you are woefully inexperienced.
If you spend 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, then spend 20 months as the governor of a state with 650,000 people, then you've got the most executive experience of anyone on either ticket, are the Commander in Chief of the Alaska military and are well qualified to lead the nation should you be called upon to do so because your state is the closest state to Russia.

"And when he's off the teleprompter and reachong for something original all you get it "um", "er", "uh", or "y'know". What a tool."
Somehow I think this description better fits our current president.

If Obama is a plagiarist then he is in good company with Biden who is also a plagiarist which forced him to withdraw in one of the presidential primaries previously.

Wow what a combination Obama-Biden both plagiarists and certified liars.Remember the primaries where both Biden and Hillary said that Obama is naive ,inexperienced and not fit to be president. Now they are supporting Obama and suddenly become fit to be president? Biden and Hillary are liars, remember also being shot at Bosnia,Baghdad and Afghanistan. There is no more honor or respect from these democrats .Lying in front of the American people just to regain power in Washington demands immediate resignation.

Speaking of Barack Obama:
Barack Obama is a racial-minority individual, and in his heart and mind he inevitably does not endorse hate crimes committed by George W. Bush.
George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).
George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.
And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.
Many people know what Bush did.
And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.
Bush was absolute evil.
Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.
Bush is a psychological prisoner.
Bush has a lot to worry about.
Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.
In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it is a linguistically excellent statement, and it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memories so they never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off the top of my head—I think the quotation came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook.
